This piece reflects on the delicate tension between waiting too long and acting too early. Ripe fruit serves as both a spiritual and biblical metaphor for opportunity and readiness, and highlights the importance and significance of accepting and responding at just the right time. Inspired by Mo'ai, a radiant, peaceful female profile covers the left side of the painting. Three parlor palms point to the reaching hand on the right, suggesting growth and preparedness. The bends and curves of the sky indicate movement and the elapsing of time. Everything in its totality is lush, prime, and ripe. To act early is to sacrifice sweetness. To hesitate is to risk decay.
